Joseph (J.R.) Tulloch is an Associate Attorney at Berenzweig Leonard. He joined the firm in July 2021, bringing with him five (5) years of diverse legal experience in multiple fields, including, but in no way limited to, Commercial Transactions, Business Law and Mergers & Acquisitions.

Prior to law school, J.R. attended Christopher Newport University, where he shaped his legal aspirations as a Political Science major with a focus in Legal Studies and obtained a minor in Philosophy of Law. He was actively involved in Christopher Newport University as Student Government President, Phi Alpha Delta Fraternity member, and member of Christopher Newport University athletics.

While attending law school in Charleston, South Carolina, J.R. worked as a law clerk for a prominent federal defense attorney while also providing pro bono legal aid to those living in the low country. While in his first year of law school, J.R. received the CALI Excellence for the Future Award for his proficiency in Legal Research and Writing, which set the pace for his legal career. In law school, J.R. was actively involved in the Student Bar Association and served in many leadership roles for the school, including the Entertainment and Sports Law Association as well as the Business Law Students Association.

As a Northern Virginia native, J.R. brings to his practice the strength, knowledge and local experience that make a difference in his clients’ cases. J.R. is extremely passionate about the law and will continue to use his experience and expertise to help clients navigate the difficult and ever-changing terrain of business and transactional law.
