Law Clerk Program
Berenzweig Leonard is committed to mentoring and providing opportunities to the next generation of legal professionals. Our firm’s law clerk program offers motivated law students the opportunity to participate in for-credit externships and internships at our offices in McLean, Virginia.
While participating in our program, law clerks are offered the opportunity to explore all of our firm’s practice areas by working with our attorneys on substantive research, writing, transactional, and litigation-related projects. Our clerks also support our attorneys at court appearances, join us for firmwide social events, and receive one-on-one mentoring geared toward enhancement of our clerks’ unique skill sets and abilities.
Berenzweig Leonard attorneys Frank Gulino and David Moon are both alumni of our law clerk program, and other alumni have gone on to obtain prestigious court clerkships and positions with well-respected local law firms.
We accept law clerk applications on a rolling basis for three annual terms: fall (September to December), spring (January to April), and summer (May to August). Applicants should contact the co-directors of our law clerk program, Sara Dajani and Ryen Rasmus, and include a cover letter, resume, unofficial transcript, and brief writing sample. Applicants should be prepared to work on-site at our offices during their clerkships and to coordinate with their law schools to obtain school credit in connection with their work at our firm.
