Internal Workplace Investigations

The “Weinstein effect” has forever altered the workplace investigation landscape. In October 2017, The New York Times and The New Yorker reported that dozens of survivors accused Harvey Weinstein, a prominent film producer and executive, of sexual harassment, sexual assault, and rape. In a domino-effect fashion, the scandal triggered exposure of similar allegations against many high-profile individuals, including actor Kevin Spacey, comedian Louis C.K., filmmaker Brett Ratner, television figure Charlie Rose, Matt Lauer, and politician Al Franken.

In today’s #metoo climate, companies must re-evaluate and be proactive about their internal workplace investigations.
